This Hebrew phrase is attributed to the great Hassidic Rebbe Nahman of Bratzlav, (1772-1810). The song is more of a meditation and a lullaby than most of the other songs in this collection. The English verses translate the Hebrew. I have always loved the words of the title as further reinforcement that life is a balancing act that requires tremendous care and mindfulness, but we can be light and easy as we move carefully through life. The English verses are translations of the Hebrew verses.
