about

Who Did? – traditional folk song
The story of Jonah and the whale is traditionally told on Yom Kippur. This is a silly way to tell this story. I have also heard this same song used to tell other stories from the Torah, (the first five
books of the Old Testament.) Start in a sitting position. On every “w” word, move your hands up or down. On the last “down” word, bring your hands down to the floor. With older children, do the same thing with sitting up and down, (great thigh workout!)

lyrics

Who did, who did, who did, who did, who did swallow Jo-jo-jonah? (3x)
Who did swallow Jonah, who did swallow Jonah, who did swallow Jonah down?
Whale did, whale did, whale did, whale did, whale did swallow Jo-jo-jonah? (3x)
Whale did swallow Jonah, whale did swallow Jonah, whale did swallow Jonah down.
